Safety of our students and staff is our #1 priority at Liberty Elementary School District. We are implementing a Standard Response Protocol throughout the District and enhancing communications with Goodyear and Buckeye Police Departments.

Today, District leaders - Interim Superintendent Dr. Richard Rundhaug and Administrative Assistant Mrs. Lupita Goodman met with the Goodyear Police Department to further develop safety standards within our schools. We have conducted meetings with the Buckeye Police Department, as well.

Moving forward, the Liberty Elementary School District website will be the central source of communication for the District and all 6 of our schools in times of emergency. Our goal is to prevent incidents. But, should one occur, you will find timely updates at Please bookmark this page for future reference and add it to your home screen on your smart device.

Today, you can learn more about the Standard Response Protocol - SRP - through a program recommended by local law enforcement called “I Love You Guys.” Every Thursday, we’ll highlight informative SRP portions for students, staff, and families through our website and social media pages.

Teachers will
receive ongoing training and each of our schools will hold mock drills using the SRP.

We are committed to more transparency and will continue to build the important community partnerships to achieve our #1 goal of safety throughout our District.
